Is dog's fatigue & poor appetite normal after spay & infection?

Question

Hi .. is this normal my dog was different for a while and at the end she wasn't eating , hiding , sleeping. the vet told me she had uterus infection and gave her anti biotics for 2 days , the 3rd day she got spayed ... Its been 72 hours today and she's still tired , sleepy , wont eat unless its chicken or something a dog can't resist , she won't go outside unless i drag her on a leash she goes for a couple of minutes then back to sleep and she makes a sound when she lays down like shes in pain. Pet's info: Dog | Canaan Dog | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 55 lbs

Hello. Zizi had a very serious infection, then had major surgery. It may take a few more days for her to regain her strength & energy. As long as she is eating & drinking she should be fine, but do keep in close contact with her vet for any developing problems. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
