Moving: Should I take the injured stray cat I've been feeding?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

Hello! There is a stray cat that we have been feeding for the past 6 years. She is badly injured probably due to a cat fight and I believe that she fully depends on us for food right now and she is healing and doesnt leave our garden. We are moving houses in a few days. We dont know whether we should take her with us or let her be as she is a stray. Could you provide some advice?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Mishmush. If you are able to catch her, it would be best to take her with you when you move. This way you can ensure that she continues to have access to food and water. She sounds like she needs veterinary care as well. If you cannot catch her or cannot afford to treat her, then I would contact a rescue group or humane society to alert them to her situation. I hope this information helps!
