Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 66 lbs
My 1 year old golden retriever was perfectly fine and then all of a sudden he can’t drink large amounts of water without throwing it up. I have to give him cups at a time for him to keep it down. This happens at least once a day if I don’t control the amount of water... is this normal?

No, definitely not normal. I'd be a bit worried that he may have megaesophagus but he should be doing this with both food and water so it's a bit perplexing. Is he actually vomiting (an active process) or is he regurgitating (a passive process). Regardless, it is not normal. I suggest you have your vet do some x-rays of his chest/neck to see if there is a problem. Hope this helps. If you have more questions you can always opt for a private consultation where we can chat back and forth. That way you can ask as many questions as you'd like. Best wishes.
