My senior dog has a lump on her eyelid getting bigger. Is it serious?

My German Shepard has a lump on her upper eyelid that seems to have gotten bigger at the weeks go on, she’s fairly old and I’m not quite sure if it’s a serious issue or not

Hi there. It's not uncommon for dogs to get growths or tumors on their eyelids. Most of the time, these are benign Meibomian gland adenomas that are non-cancerous and don't cause any serious harm, but I would recommend having Meaka checked by your veterinarian to make sure her lump doesn't look concerning. In some cases, surgical removal may be recommended if the mass is rubbing on the surface of the eye and causing irritation, or if it looks suspicious for a more serious type of tumor.
