My cat won't eat or drink. Could it be mastitis? How serious?

The vet that answered my question before said that my cat might have mastitis and asked me to check if her mammary glands are swollen and firm but mino wont let me touch her so i cant do that and also she is not eating nor drinking. So is it mastitis ?and how serious of an issue is this?

I’m sorry, but we’re not really going to be able to help you. We need more information. Your best bet is to take the cat to the vet so they can check her out. Mastitis can be very painful and can be serious if the mammary glands are infected. She may have a fever and that’s why she is acting out. There’s nothing we can tell you to give her medication wise without knowing what is wrong with her.
