My cat has a raw, bald patch on her back after vacation. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 years and 1 month old | 9 lbs

We came home from vacation, and our cat has a patch on her back that’s raw and missing hair. What could this be? Possibly from stress or something worse? How should we treat this?

That could be one of many things: * trauma/injury * bacterial infection * ringworm * burn Hard to say. I suggest you apply this topical wound gel for about 7-10 days. If no improvement or it gets worse then your vet needs to see it.
