My indoor cat has clear nasal drip. Could it be cat flu or a cold?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 3 months old

Hi my vet is closed and it’s long weekend so no vets open, unless I pay after hour fee. Please help my 15 month old boy is 100% inside cat and I’ve just noticed this Morning a post nasal clear drip from his nostrils ( not sure if it both or 1 nostril). No discharge on eyes or mouth as you can see. He ate his breakfast, is a little bit more quiet than normal. Seems alert no other symptoms. Could this be cat flu? A cold? And if possible how could he get cat flu as he not outside cat. Thanks.

Hello. Angus looks pretty bright eyed, so I just think he has a slight upper respiratory virus. These viruses can just hang out & pop up at any time. As long as Angus is eating & drinking fairly well, he will do fine. These viruses usually clear on their own in a couple of weeks, but it is not the cat flu. If you are still concerned, just get him checked out when the veterinary clinics reopen. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
