Thanks for reaching out about Chip and including a photo. Starch or flour can work well to assist in coagulation. By the picture, it appears as if blood is on the feathers. If this a toe nail or broken blood feather? If bleeding persists, a visit to the veterinarian is recommended. 'Good luck.
