Why is my 15-year-old cat suddenly lethargic with hairballs?

Pet's info: Cat | Snowshoe | Female | 15 years and 6 months old | 6 lbs

My cat is eating well and drinking well but isn't moving much.She still enjoys being petted but stays pretty stationary for most of the day.She is 15 yrs old and just started showing symptoms over the past wk.She stretches every time she gets up,her skin seems a little tender.She still cleans herself well.Has been throwing up alot of hair balls.Thank you.

I am sorry to hear about Beasley! I would recommend a visit to her vet for an examination, especially if having hairballs is not the norm for her. There are many different things that can cause these symptoms in cats, Ranging from internal problems like constipation or organ disease, to arthrtitis/joint disease. Your vet can examine her and may recommend testing depending on their findings or may recommend things like hairball laxative or joint supplements like Dasuquin.
