My cat's worsening bronchitis & fever: Should I suppress her cough?

Pet's info: Cat | Exotic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 years and 10 months old | 14 lbs

Peapumkin gets bronchitis frequently and has it again now except seems to have worsened. She saw vet Saturday and was given depo it says .60 units and connivea shot for antibiotic shot had anal expression and taking oral amoxillian now. She is coughing up stuff into carpet it’s clear but cloudy and choakig on it and she still sounds horrible. She’s hot still fever today . Is it safe to give the yellow cough pill we used another time for this type infe or should I not suppress her cough ?

I would not suppress the cough at this time. I would recommend having Peapumkin re-evaluated by her vet. Nebulization or oxygen therapy may be needed while the other treatments can get into her system to work. You can also use a humidifier and coupage to help her body remove secretions.
