My dog has a pink spot on her paw pad. Is it serious? Vet or wait?

Hello, I was taking my dog for a walk by a creek the other day for her birthday and she seemed fine when we walked back to the car. However, she then started licking and biting her paw while whimpering. When I got home I looked at her paw and noticed a very small pink spot on her paw pad that looks almost like a pink popcorn kernel. She isn't a big fan of me lookin at it either. I did wash it but should I give her a few days or take her to a vet asap? She seems to be doing better today...

That looks like an insect bite that may be infected for it to have a focal light spot in the center. If she seems fine otherwise you can opt to keep an eye on it and make sure it continues to improve. If it does get bigger, if she becomes lame, acts sick, refuses to eat or starts vomiting or has diarrhea, get her in to see your vet right away as there may be something more serious going on.
