Is it normal for cockatiels to fight in the nest box before eggs?

Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Female

My cockatiels r spending time inside the next box. There is no eggs. But sometime my cockatiels had small fight. I m just confused. Do cockatiels fight during breeding time?

It is normal for birds to have small quabbles. It could also be they are both female and both want a nest box, so adding in a second may prevent the fighting. Making sure both birds can access food, water, perches, etc without one bird guarding the resource can also help reduce fights.

    Thanks for reaching out about Grey. It is very common for birds to be aggressive and defensive to outside forces, when breeding and protecting a nest site. There is not much but waiting, to be done. Good luck.
