My dog has black dots on private parts. Are they blackheads?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 2 years and 4 months old | 26 lbs

What are the black dots on my dog's private part? They're bunpy, like blackheads, and can be easily pulled off. But should i be worried? What are they? My dog is a Yorkshire terrier - Jack Russell mix, if that helps.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. These are likely comedones, which are essentially blocked pores. You do not need to worry about these unless Rita seems irritated by her private area and is licking frequently. I hope this is helpful!
