Why does my cat's jaw make a squelching sound when she chews?

Hello My little 11 year old cat long hair tabby makes a strange squelching sound when chewing Seems to be coming from her jaw Hope you can help A bit worrying Cheers Greg

Hello Greg, Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Sorry Kittee is having this issue. She really needs to be seen by a vet. I suggest you video her making this noise to show your vet. If it is only happening when she is chewing them I'm assuming there is a dental issue or some other type of problem in the oral cavity. She could even have a dislocated jaw. I really think a veterinary visit is best in this case. Hope this helps.
