My puppy's urine smells like ammonia and has diarrhea on antibiotics?

Dear god! Mia’s urine smells like straight ammonia so much that I have to hold my breath when I’m cleaning up her puppy pads and kennel. It’s horrid!! She’s on amoxicillin for a skin infection, could this be the reason why?? She is on digestive diet under the discretion of her vet but other than that nothing has changed but I can’t take the smell without wanting to run out of my house. She is also having running stool or jelly like stool but vet thinks it’s the antibiotics..? Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | spayed | 5 months and 5 days old | 25 lbs

It could be from the antibiotic. I suggest you speak to your vet about switching to a different one. She may be "allergic" to amoxicillin. I would also suggest you start her on a probiotic to balance the good bacteria in her gut since she is on antibiotics. That should help with the diarrhea. I like Fortiflora (your vet may carry it) or you can buy it online. You can use any probiotic made for dogs (no human products) but I really think Fortiflora is the best. I suggest you give it for two weeks minimum even if the diarrhea is better in a couple days.
