My dog ate a whole tube of calorie booster. Is it an emergency?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Coonhound - blue tick | Female | spayed | 1 year and 5 months old | 50 lbs

Can a dog overdose on a high calorie booster? I was giving it to her and the tube busted and she ate a lot of it.

As long as it is just calories and isn't packed with any toxic substances, probably not. It is more likely to cause gastrointestinal upset if anything. However, I would have to see the packaging to be more certain. The best thing you can do is to touch base with the pet poison control help line. They are the experts in this area. Hope this makes sense.
