Why isn't Nemex working for my 6-week-old kittens' bloody diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 0.5 lbs

How long do I wait for Nemex to work on six week old kittens? They have bloody and mucusy diarrhea. They are running and jumping and acting normal. I gave them Nemex 2 days ago.

Nemex doesn’t treat every possible type of parasite. It only treats for rounds and hooks. Often bloody, mucousy diarrhea is from coccidia. Needs a different treatment. I suggest you take stool sample to your vet to test for it. That way you can get the correct treatment. ( https://mobile.petcoach.co/amp/article/coccidia-coccidiosis-a-cause-of-diarrhea )
