My turtle won't eat, has swollen eyes, and is inactive. Should I see a vet?

Hello, Ive not been able to look after Leo for a few days as i was on a holiday outside. Few days after returning i found out that he hasnt been eating for a few days and has been affected with a swollen eyes. He is not that active and is still not showing any sign of appetite. Please reply as soon as possible And do tell if i need to take him to a vet. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out about Leornado and including photos. Swollen eyes are common with infections, either water borne or systemic. Check water parameters and clean if needed. Vitamin A deficiencies through inappropriate diet can be a preceding condition of the infections. A veterinary visit is recommended for a vitamin A injection, systemic antibiotics and to discuss diet. Good luck.
