Turmeric is often used as an anti-inflammatory, and while it is safe for the most part it can cause bleeding problems for some cats. I would be concerned that the vomiting could be serious for Baby Boy at his age - thyroid disease, kidney disease and IBD are a few potential causes of vomiting in an older cat. I'd recommend having him examined by your veterinarian. They might recommend checking some blood work to start.
