My pet's eye is squinting and has eye boogers. Should I see a vet?

Baymax’s left eye is funky. It doesn’t seem to bother him as he is acting normal, but it looks like he is squinting that eye. There’s no discoloration, but he is getting more eye boogers in the left. His right eye is normal. Is this something I need to take him to a vet for? or is there something at home I can do for him? I have sensitive baby wipes I have been using to get the gunk away from his eye because a warm wash cloth seems to bother him. The wipes don’t.

If he is squinting, then the eye is causing discomfort. This warrants an exam with your veterinarian to diagnose corneal injury or infection. Your vet will probably use a special stain to check for scratches or ulcers. These usually can't be seen by the naked eye. If Baymax is pawing or rubbing at it, place an e-collar (cone) on him until he sees the doctor.
