Can Frontline Plus be used for my dog's heartworm slow kill?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 46 lbs

My dog has heartworm. I cannot afford injections and I was told to slow kill won't work for her I'm considering doing the Doxie Advantage Multi slow kill method I was wondering if I could use Frontline Plus instead of Advantage Multi or it has to be Advantage Multi

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Noah. Frontline Plus only has medication for fleas and ticks. It does not work on heartworms. So this would not be an effective means of treatment. I hope this information helps!
