My cat suddenly chews everything. Is he bored or has a deficiency?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 18 lbs

Found Shamrock in tree 1yr ago hes neutered no chip very playfull affectionate he took to me very well the first day I had him, seemed that he was grateful that I saved him I don't know his age but I'm guessing probably one year to two years by the way he has energy and how he plays there's a new Behavior though he's starting to chew on a lot of things rubber wood metal things around the house I do play with him a lot any reasons why he started this do cats teeth could it be a dietary deficienc

No, not likely to be a dietary deficiency or due to a dental issue. It is probably boredom. I suggest you do some environmental enrichment for him. ( https://www.thedrakecenter.com/materials/environmental-enrichment-indoor-cats )

    A dental problem is possible and sometimes it can be difficult to see signs of dental disease in cats or lesions can be present below the gum line. Eating non-food objects can be behavioral, but in some rare cases it can be a sign of a nutritional deficiency or gastrointestinal disease. If this abnormal behavior continues I’d recommend having Lika examined by your vet.
