My chicken has vent gleet symptoms. What's wrong and how can I treat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Farm Animal | Farm Chicken | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 3 lbs

I can’t find a vet who will treat my chickens near my. One of my chickens has what appears to be vent gleet. I have tried epsom salt soaks, vinegar dips and yeast infection cream to her vent.

Can you please post again with some photos? Are you talking about a prolapse or is there just discharge? Animals don't get gleet which is caused by a gonorrheal infection. I will need some photos to help you better and also the age of the chicken would be helpful.
