Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 7 months and 9 days old | 55 lbs

My dog is a 7mo bernedoodle. Healthy overall - this picture is of his area below his lip line and above his chin - seems more red than it should be? Allegies? Any advice is appreciated- thank you!

The are does seems redder than normal. He may have an allergy to something, got an insect bite there, it may stay damp there and has developed an infection, there are a number of possibilities. I suggest getting him in to see your vet to have this looked at and possibly some antibiotics or other medication in order to clear this up.
