My dog vomits liquid mornings but acts normal. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 101 lbs

My dog is vomiting liquid in certain times, like at 3 Am or at 7 Am since 1 week. But nothing has changed regarding his behavior, appetite, and activity. His poop is also normal. Should I take him to a vet??

Hello. I think it would be a good idea to see your vet. Vomiting, even occasional, is just not normal. Treatment might involve something as simple as modifying his diet, or meal times, adding a small meal just before bedtime, or trying a stomach protectant. It is probably not an emergency, but do get this checked out at your earliest convenience if it continues. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
