Hello (rat health problem), I pet my rat for over 2.5 years now, i noticed something odd with the growth of his testicles it seems the one testicle is now larger that the "normal" size i don't know if its normal and if i should do anything, since he doesn't have any female companion to mate/ejaculation?

Thanks for reaching out about Peris and including a photo. Enlarged testicles or scrotum can be due to the accumulation of fluid, infection, hernia or neoplasia (tumors). A veterinary visit is recommended to assess the condition and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Applying a warm compress might help reduce swelling but is not a cure. Good luck.

Hi, thank you for using PetCoach. I strongly recommend having the rats checked by a veterinarian that treats rodents. Testicular tumors are possible in rats, as are infectious disease that could cause this. If you don't have a veterinarian, this website may help you find one https://aemv.org/
