I'm attacking a pic of my dog hair. She had wound 2 years ago I this area and even after the wound healed hair didn't come their. Its is in the neck area. If I apply spot on (for tick) treatment in that area will the body absorb it? Because spot liquid can be absorbed inside the skin through the pores in the hair follicle and since there is no hair there will it absorb the liquid? I have applied in that area before efficiency was not good. Also she is healthy doggo with no skin problem

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The hair has likely not grown back in this area since it became scar tissue following the wound and does not have normal hair follicles anymore. I recommend applying your topical flea treatment in another area of her body, ie, along her back between her shoulder blades, where there is normal skin and hair. This should give the medication a better chance to absorb. I hope this is helpful! Thank you for using flea and tick preventatives!
