Should I worry my puppies will get sick from a mysterious cat illness?

My sister had two cats that had kittens one had four and after they were 1 1/2months the mother mysteriously died and three weeks later one of the kittens got sick and died and the next day another died I have a dog who had six puppies that are six weeks old should I be worried that my puppies are going to become sick as well

Without a full diagnosis of what affected the cat and kittens (from a post mortem exam) it is impossible to guess whether or not there would be a risk to the pups. Some infections are transferable between cats and dogs and I would keep them completely isolated (change clothes an wash hands between each) as a precaution. I recommend to start the pups vaccines immedaitely and ensure they are regularly dewormed
