Could my senior dog's stomach mass be from a recent fall down stairs?

Question

My old dog followed my friend and she didn’t see him till he fell down 14 rugged stairs. Had a ct scan and they found a mass in his stomach . I didn’t want him put under again so I said no. Could it be from the fall? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 8 days old | 6 lbs

Hello. I am so sorry about Motzart. No, the mass in his stomach has probably been there for some time & is probably some type of cancer. At 17 years of age, he is certainly a survivor & you have taken excellent care of him. I would not recommend surgery at this time either as the complications from recovery may be too much for him.
