Why is my dog scratching so much? Anti-itch shampoo isn't helping.

Hi.. Mini keeps sratching on the part where I have marked in the photo.. She doesnt have any ticks or fleas, I guess its because of the dry skin.. She does it on both the sides most of the time.. What can be the reason and what should I do for it? Im using anti itch shampoo but its not working..

Pets can be itchy due to many reasons. If you suspect Mini is itchy due to dry skin, I recommend changing her diet to a brand called Royal Canin and starting her on an additional omega-3 fatty acid supplement for dogs. It will take about a month to take full effect. If this does not seem to help, you may start to examine issues with allergies. Allergies can be to the environment, the food or any contact with fleas, even just one flea. I hope this helps.
