My dachshund ate a Klondike bar. Should I worry about her diarrhea?

My dachshund is about 10 lbs and last evening ate half of a klondike bar. She's had a bit of diarrhea and that's been it. Should I be concerned? Thank you! Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Female | spayed

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The diarrhea is not unexpected with eating this amount of chocolate and sugar. It should resolve over the next 2-3 days with her continuing to eat her usual diet. I would avoid any human food or other dog treats for the next few days. Otherwise, she should be OK!
