Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 11 years and 8 months old | 120 lbs
My dog killed a large rat today. He was found before he got to far into it's gut and was called off. He then came inside and vomited. When later I picked up the carcass, birds had gotten to it and opened it further. It had a powdery blue substance in it's belly which I can only assume is poison. I don't know what kind, or if my dog actually consumed any of the poison. When he vomited (which isn't all too rare for him), it was not blue in any way. He appears to be acting normally?

It is very unlikely that a single mouse could ingest enough poison to cause toxicity for a dog Gibbs’ size regardless of the type of poison. If it’s possible that he has eaten multiple mice there could be more concern.
