My dog ate a matcha tea packet. Is 50mg of caffeine toxic for him?

My dog ate a matcha tea powder single serving packet. The ingredients said it contains 50mg of caffeine. Should I be concerned? How do I help him?

This would not be a toxic dose of caffeine. I suppose the wrapper or the string could potentially become lodged in the gastrointestinal tract, but it would be very unlikely. I’d recommend monitoring for vomiting or a decrease in appetite and contacting your vet if noted.
