My cat was attacked by. Stray who came up on my porch. My cat has limp and a slight amount of blood in hi fur at shoulder. He is in pain when picked up. It’s Memorial Day weekend and it’s hard to get an open hospital. Can my cat wait about 36 hrs? He is eating and sleeping most of the time

It would be best to have Sylvester examined now, on an emergency basis. Cat bites can become infected quickly and he may need prophylactic antibiotics. If you decide to wait you could try cleaning his shoulder with mild soap and watching for increased pain, swelling or bleeding.
