Why does my new Syrian hamster have bloody diarrhea? Is it serious?

I got a new Syrian hamster on Tuesday, he is 8-10 weeks old and seemed to be settling okay. The second day I noticed small amount of diahorria but never thought much of it. Since then it’s been fine but tonight I have checked and there’s a lot along with blood aswell. Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Male
