Cats might experience some gastrointestinal distress after chewing/eating pansies so I'm not surprised about the diarrhea but that should be the extent of the symptoms. Pansies are not overly toxic to cats. The diarrhea is usually self-limiting meaning it should go away on it's own in a day or two but if you want to, you can give him some probiotics for a week or two. It won't hurt and may help. Any probiotics made for cats will do (no human products) but I personally think Fortiflora is the best: ( https://www.amazon.com/Purina-Veterinary-Fortiflora-Nutritional-Supplement/dp/B001650OE0 )
