My 6-year-old beagle has a painful bump. What's wrong and what to do?

My 6 year old beagle has had a small "pimple like" bump under the fur on her back for a while. It hasn't caused her any pain or any hair loss. But, today she was acting like she was in pain and we found a similar "bump" by her front leg. I'm not sure what it is or how to take care of it and make sure Roxie isn't in pain. Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 2 months old | 12 lbs

I would be more concerned about an orthopedic problem causing the pain. She will need to be examined by a veterinarian to know for sure. In the meantime, keep her quiet to allow her body to rest.
