Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed
You Hello. My cat krysia has got skin problems on her neck. Wounds started appearing etc. I was prescribed isaderm gel and when applying on the 2nd day my cat started panicking and ran away. She had foam going from her mouth and spit started dripping. It looked like it was very painful for her and i don't know if i should continue using this gel. It says that it is for dogs and i have read on internet that it should not be given to any other animal.

I would not continue to use this on your cat. While its only labeled for use in dogs, it has been used successfully and safely in many cats; however, cats are more likely to lick it which could cause her to foam at the mouth and drool. Additionally, she may be hypersensitive to it. Make sure she has fresh water a available, and let her be or a little while. There shouldn't be any major issue, and over the next few hours she should be back to normal. However, if at any point she seems very distressed or is having trouble breathing, or if she starts vomiting, seek emergency care. Stop using the medication, and make a recheck appointment with your vet to discuss a different treatment option for her skin. Thank you for asking Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
