My cat is undergoing treatment for urinary blockage. the vet wants to reinsert a catheter using anesthesia again in less than 30 hours. Is that safe? Should I give a go ahead? My cat is a male

Yes, if he is blocked then he requires a catheter inserting. It is not uncommon for cats to re-block or for muscle spasm to become severe enough to prevent voluntary urination and a temporary or even long term surgical resolution may be required. An obstructed bladder prevents waste products from being excreted from the body and can rapidly become life threatening if not relieved

I agree. Yes, he should have the catheter placed. Any animal could have an anesthetic reaction at any time but it should be safe. Many animals (and people) have multiple procedures days apart with no issues. It has to be done or he cannot urinate which is a worse problem and more dangerous.
