My dog bit a raw potato. Are raw potatoes toxic to dogs? Is he okay?

hello charlie managed to get a hold of a raw potato, he didn’t eat it but he did bite it. he was home alone so i don’t know how long ago this happened. is he going to be okay? i also found this pieces from the potato, are they dangerous? i couldn’t find any other on the floor, not sure if he ingested one.

It doesn't look like he ingested much so he will probably be fine. Just be aware though that raw potatoes are toxic to dogs. Potatoes belong to the nightshade family of vegetables, and contain solanine, a compound that is toxic to some dogs.
