My 2 and a half year old lab/pit mix has had two bug bites (possibly mosquito) for a few weeks now. I have been cleaning with antibacterial soap and applying coconut oil. Started liquid bandaid recently but she keeps biting the scabs off and now there are small hard bumps all over her hind leg where the two wounds are. I am not sure if this could be something more and I'm not sure of how else to treat it.

This presentation could be due to the initial insect bite reaction which is now locally infected (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking that in the long term can cause more damage.
