i have a abandoned kitten that just a couple days old and i dont have kitten formula or goat milk what can i feed it thats safe

May I feed the orphaned kitten some evaporated milk?
An orphaned kitten needs formula that is specific to his needs and evaporated milk is not nutritionally balanced for him. Commercial kitten formula is available at any pet store or places like Wal-Mart or you can make your own at home with some ingredients you may already have on hand. Formula #1 • 8 oz. Homogenized whole milk • 2 egg yolks • 1 teaspoon salad oil • 1 drop liquid pediatric vitamins (optional) Formula #2 • 1 part boiled water to 5 parts evaporated milk • 1/2 teaspoon bone meal per 16 oz fluid Formula #3 (do not use if diarrhea is present) • 1 can Evaporated Milk • 1 egg yolk • 2 tablespoons Karo syrup Formula #4 • You ca12oz of water • 1 envelope Knox Gelatin • 1 12oz can of whole evaporated milk (not skim) • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, not nonfat Formula #5 • 1 cup of whole milk • 1 large egg • 2 teaspoons of powdered protein • 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast • 110 mg of powdered calcium • 1-day dose of vitamins formu

Our cat gave birth yesterday to 5 kittens but she abandoned them. She’s somewhere in our house but we can’t find her. And the kittens are crying. What could we feed them?
Newborn kittens are very fragile and cannot last long without food. You need to get to a pet store or grocery store immediately to get kitten formula. The brand I recommend is KMR, and you will need to get bottles as well to feed them. Raising orphan kittens is very time consuming, and you need to be prepared to feed them throughout the day and night, every two to three hours. I will put a link below on how to care for orphan kittens. I'd also recommend getting Zushi spayed. If she has abandoned her kittens, she simply may not be a good mother and if she is allowed to have kittens again, there is a likelihood this behavior will be repeated. Because of that, spaying her is best to prevent her from having any future litters and potentially leading you to have to take care of them. Soy milk baby product isn't a suitable milk replacer for this kitten, and it will not be giving her the nutrients she needs. She needs a kitten formula such as KMR, which can be gotten from a pet store or grocery store. You need to go out now to get this formula or she could die from being fed an inadequate diet. Keep her warm, remember to stimulate her to pass feces and urine after being fed, and have her seen by a vet first thing in the morning. Please provide a little more information about the kitten such as age and size? Kittens begin weaning at 4 weeks old and thus they don't need formula. Since you have financial constraints, you may want to look into a local rescue (if available). Kittens require a lot of care their first year (vaccines, anti-parasitics and being sterilized). Hi John! I would be afraid ti could die overnight as newborn kittens are extremely fragile and cannot last long without feeding. You can try to get him to feed. Rub a nipple near his mouth or at the side of his face. This should stimulate him to open his mouth, which will allow you to gently put the nipple inside. Once he feels the nipple on his tongue, that should stimulate his natural sucking reaction.
If this doesn't work, then yes you will have to bottle feed him. He will need a kitten formula and a bottle, which you can get from a grocery store. If the grocery isn't open all night, there is an emergency formula recipe you can give him to hopefully get him through the night. I will include a link to a website below that details how to bottle feed a kitten and that has the recipe. The emergency formula recipe is found under the section "bottle feeding." Best of luck!

Hai, Acil is not sick. She is playing very well. Looking very lean and not eating well. KMR milk is not available in any pet shops near me. I tried giving her cow milk, cured, dry fish, wiskas dry food. Still she is not eating well (only few licks).
You should really try to get KMR ordered online as that is going to be the best to feed her. There are other brands you could get too like Just Born. Emergency homemade formulas are not nutritionally balanced for a kitten, so you should feed your kittens emergency formula for only as long as it takes you to get some kitten milk replacement formula -- hopefully no more than 24 hours. In a pinch you can make homemade formula as follows: RECIPE 1 quart whole goat’s milk 1 teaspoon light Karo syrup 1 tablespoon nonfat plain yogurt (goat’s milk preferred) 1 egg yolk 4 packages of Knox unflavored gelatin Put goat’s milk in saucepan, add gelatin in the amount above depending on the kitten’s age. Heat goat’s milk/gelatin mixture just until gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat. Mix in remaining ingredients and refrigerate. It will keep up to one week. This poor little kitten! You can try getting him some kitten formula from the grocery store (I recommend KMR) and a bottle so you can try to bottle feed him. Unfortunately some newborn kittens are extremely fragile, and they cannot survive long without feeding. If he won't take the bottle, I wouldn't wait until the morning to see a vet, as he may not survive the night. In this case, please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Is Pediasure appropriate for orphaned kittens? I don't think it has the required protein and taurine in it for long-term use but perhaps just until I can find kitten formula? Thanks.
Please try to get kitten formula. I do not recommend using anything else as it can lead to severe diarrhea that can be debilitating in tiny kittens. Most pet stores, farm supply stores or vet clinics should carry kitten milk replacer. Even some grocery stores may have it.
