My dog has black discharge in one ear that keeps coming back. Why?

There is a blackish discharge coming from only one of my dogs ears. She is 11 months old. I clean it as best I can but seems like it just comes back in a day or two. Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | 49 lbs

It sounds like Harper has an ear infection. In dogs, this can be caused by ear mites, yeast, or bacteria. I would take her into the vet in the morning. The vet can diagnose if she does have an ear infection, what is causing it, and can treat it. I hope this helps!
