I have a Huskita puppy who loves other dogs and people. However, right when i got him we went for a walk like normal, but this time a moped lost control and almost ran over both me and my puppy. Ever since he has been terrified of going for walks. Does well in dog parks, but as soon as he sees a bicycle or motorized bike he freaks out. Any suggestions/ Thank you.

Poor Jasper! Dogs can have issues like this and they may always be afraid. You can try positive association. You will need a high value treat or toy. Begin by having him look at a bike that is turned off and stationary. As soon as he looks at it, reward him. Gradually move closer to the bike until he is standing next to it and he is comfortable. It is important to reward him every time he looks at the bike or makes a move in the right direction. Then begin the positive association with a running bike but make sure it is from a distance. Gradually move closer as well. It is important to take this slow. Keep in mind that it will be easier for him to get used to this if the training sessions are done after a period of heavy exercise. A tired dog has less anxiety issues. also make sure to take it very slow and be very patient. Also keep in mind this may not work but you can try it. Best of luck.
