Are my Corgis at a healthy weight given their high activity and diet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | spayed | 4 months and 22 days old | 25 lbs

I’m worried that my corgis will be over weight, because my male because he’s quite round but he has a lot more fur than Mia & his weight has stabilized. Asher is about 17.2 lbs & Mia is about 14lbs. In fact I can’t get Asher to gain weight. This is their average day getting of 3-12 miles of activity, burning 500-1100 calories. I track their health on Fitbark 24/7. They get one can of wet blue buffalo food a day for meds & a 1 1/2 cups of dry blue buffalo food for the rest of day. Am I doing ok?

It sounds like you are doing just fine. Dogs, especially corgis, need to be kept lean so it's good that you are being vigilant. Dogs are never too thin unless you can see all their ribs.
