My cat might be pregnant. How do I confirm it without a vet visit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 20 days old | 8 lbs

If I cannot get her to a vet how can I wait and see if my cat is pregnant.

You can watch for signs like a distended abdomen as she gets closer to delivery. A cat will be pregnant for about 2 months. However, if you cat is intact and has gotten outside chances are very good that she is pregnant. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
