My dog's stool looks better after medication. Should I be concerned?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Male | neutered | 7 years and 4 months old | 25 lbs

I previously posted stool photos, but it was taken at night so it was very dark and the filter I used distorted the color. I took another photo today. Does his stool look normal? I was concerned about him having a bad reaction to carprofen and guaifen (maybe ulcer), but he seems much better now. I stopped his medication the 2nd day. He vomited the 1 day (2 times) and hasn't vomited since. Minimal burping/hiccup. No more coughing/gagging. Eating, drinking normally. Should I still be concerned?

Thank you for new photos. I answered your last question about Teddy, and his poop does look better. I would not be concerned based on this, and the face that he's not vomiting as well as eating and drinking normally. I hope this helps!
