Is the smudge on my dog's eye from his pink eye infection or drops?

I just want to know about the smudge in eye recently he developed pink eye infection he was rubbing his eyes when I first notice soni took him to vet and he prescribed the eye drops so when I was putting this eye drop in his eye I also notice this light smudge on his eye as if just like smudge on our spectacles so is it cause because of pink eye infection or what it's already been 6 days now I am putting eye drops as well so many days it will take for this smudge to disappear?

Hello. This appears to be corneal edema, which essentially causes thickening of cornea resulting in a decrease in clarity. I would revisit about this with your veterinarian as over time, corneal edema may lead to recurrent or chronic corneal erosions. A thorough ocular examination should be done, including measurement of intraocular pressures, fluorescein staining, a Schirmer tear test, & examination of intraocular structures to look for any underlying causes, including the possible use of the medication you are now using in the eye.
