Why is my cockatiel sick? Feather loss, picking, light, lots of poop.

Question

My 23 year old cockatiel looks bad, like he woke up on wrong side of the bed. His left eye has lost feathers, he is picking at left wing. Lots of poop. I was away, for 3 days last week, my sister looked after him in my room. He feel lighter what do I do?? Is he dying? Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Male | 24 years and 4 months old

Thanks for reaching out about Frenchie. It is impossible to tell how serious this is, and a veterinary visit is recommended to assess Frenchie's health and to provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Most avian veterinarians will provide heat support in the 80-85 F range, to give comfort. Good luck.
