Our 14 week old puppy has a ringworm which is being treated with antifungal cream and malaseb washes. We have a newborn at home so what measures should we take other than vacuuming floors furniture and cleaning etc. do we have to completely isolate puppy and for how long if we do. So confused!

Routine cleaning and disinfecting the environment during treatment (as described in the link below) is crucial to stop the spread of the organism and to prevent reinfection. You need to isolate the puppy only if you have other pets so they don't catch the ringworm too. You guys should wear gloves and wash your hands throughly after you handle the puppy. Changing your clothing after extended handling is recommended. Honestly, the best, best option is to try to get a friend or family member to care for the puppy until the infection has cleared.
